Missing CCLE 2019 mutation data download?

In the DepMap Data Portal, the file described as “merged mutation calls” actually points to CCLE_GlobalChromatinProfiling_20181130.csv, which as the filename suggests provides global chromatin profiling information and not mutation data. I was hoping to get the somatic mutations.

I’m guessing this is a silly bug somewhere.

Thanks for your help!

When I go to the current release at Data | DepMap Portal I see the somatic mutations file listed under the mutations tab. This looks like the right filename to me, and I don’t see a reference to “merged mutation calls”

I also tried checking the search bar but nothing came up for “merged mutation calls”.

Where were you seeing that phrase? If you could provide a link to the page, that’d be helpful to get it remedied.

Thanks,

Phil

Ah, I just noticed in the title you mentioned “CCLE 2019” and so yes, if I go into the archive and look up the files associated with that paper, I see what you mean.

Yes, I’m not sure what happened there, but interestingly, based on our edit history, it appears that file has been mislabeled since it was introduced in 2019.

I suspect it wasn’t noticed because back then the DepMap had already started releasing data that extended beyond the original CCLE collection. I’ll likely need to do some digging to find the mutations file that was associated with the original paper, but I just want to confirm, you are looking for the original set of mutation calls that correspond to that paper, and not our latest mutation calls, correct?

Thanks,

Phil

Well, the file isn’t just mislabeled. If you notice, there’s no link to the CCLE mutation data file at all.

I was attempting to get the CCLE 2019 data, as it was unclear to me if the cell lines in the CCLE 2019 data set were included in the current dataset. Since it sounds like the cell lines from CCLE 2019 are included in the current mutation data set, then I’ll be using that one.

Thanks for looking into this.
