Cell lines used for this database

Hi there!

I routinely utilize DepMap heavily to assess essential genes; however, I’m curious to know which cell lines this database was built against. I’m interested to also know if any iPSCs have been used to build out this data or if it was just immortalized cell lines.

You can download the latest sample_info.csv to see the full list of cell lines for which we have data for in the DepMap portal. Just keep in mind that not every line has been characterized in every assay, but the sample_info.csv file does have the comprehensive list of all lines present in the DepMap portal.
