What's the difference between 'cutaneous melanoma' and 'melanoma'?

Dear community,

Hi, I have a question about the subtypes of melanoma in the Celligner.
When I checked the subtypes of melanoma, I found that there are confusing words; cutaneous melanoma and melanoma.
What’s the difference between them?
Since I’m new to cell-line information, I think that they are the same.

Can anyone explain about it?
Thank you for reading this question.

This is downstream of the MSK Oncotree classification, which we currently use for cancer subtype definitions in Celligner. “Melanoma” and “Cutaneous Melanoma” have different Oncotree codes, but “Cutaneous Melanoma” is a subtype of “Melanoma”. The reason we display both currently is that we are attempting to provide as much detail as we have available, and have different levels of detail available for different samples.
