Stable URL for current release files

Hi,

Thank you for a very nice and valuable resource!

My name is Åsa and I work for the Human Protein Atlas.
We would like to use the CRISPR common essential gene list from this file Data | DepMap Portal in the Atlas. To be able to automatically update the data on the Atlas we would like to use stable URLs to the latest release of your data, but was not able to find any.
Does that exist or is it possible to create a directory with files named e.g. current or latest instead of version number to allow for scripted downloading?

Thank you!

All the best, Åsa

For programatic access to full download files, I’ve been recommending is that people use this url https://depmap.org/portal/api/download/files to download a table of every file that is present in the portal and the URL from which the file can be downloaded.

Once you have that table, it’s fairly straight forward to download whatever you want to pull.

Since we keep the file names consistent across depmap releases, if you want the latest version of any file, you can filter the files to the latest release, and then find the specific file by name, and then use download URL to get the actual file.

Thanks,
Phil
