Hello,
Having non-cancerous cell lines corresponding to each cancer cell line holds immense potential and would significantly enhance research and therapeutic advancements in the field.

It’s a great point but my understanding is those cell lines are tricky to handle and people generally have strong suspicions about the relevance of the data. Another way to think about it, the immortalization of a normal cell line is much more invasive than immortalization of cancer cells.
My request is based on our latest preprint. It shows the importance of single-cell data for both Disease and Control cases.
We acquired over 50 immortalized cell lines derived from normal, non-cancerous tissues and evaluated them using gene expression profiling. Unfortunately, most of these cell lines have lost their differentiation markers and resemble fibroblasts. You can find the data by searching for non-cancerous cell lines.
