Is it correct that only 22/78 SCLC cell lines have essentiality data?

So far as I can determine there are 78 lines for small cell lung cancer indicated by the string SCLC in column 33 of Cell_lines_annotations_20181226.txt. It seems that only 22/78 of these lines have dependency data in CRISPRGeneDependency.csv

Is there any known reason for this low proportion? In general, 75% (1095/1460) lines have dependency data, so it is surprising that SCLC has a much lower proportion.
Thanks for any clues.

Hello,

I don’t think there is a reason for the low proportion beyond our prioritization strategy. In general, we try to get coverage of as many disease contexts as possible rather than fully covering the CCLE set. At this time we’ve some coverage of SCLC which admittedly may only partially overlap with the CCLE set, and these days are adding other subtypes and models with in contexts for which we have no coverage.

Thanks,
Phil
