This is a question that has come up a few times, so I’m writing up an answer here in case it helps people:
In cell line selector, it’s not obvious how to choose models which have a specific mutation. We’re planning on making this easier in the future, but in the meantime, I wanted to demonstrate how it’s possible today.
For example, if we wanted to find those lines which have KRASG12C, you can open cell line selector and select “New list”. Then, to see all the KRAS mutations, in each line, you can click “Add column” on the far right. You’ll then be prompted with a series of dropdowns
Here, you’ll want to choose “Cell line Metadata” then “Mutation details” and then the gene (in this case KRAS)
e
Clicking “Add column” will add a text column listing all the non-silent protein changes in that gene for the model. Now, you can click the funnel icon and select the specific mutation
and then applying that filter will show the 24 lines with that specific mutation.
You can now select all these lines and save it as a new cell line set for use in “Custom analysis” or elsewhere in the portal.
