CCLE_expression data values are different

Hello,

I was wondering why in Quarterly released CCLE_expression data have different values for the same gene? I have checked CCLE_expression from 22Q1 and 19Q2. I also checked CCLE_RNAseq_reads.csv, the read count for the same gene in the same cell line is different from one version to another released version, does that make CCLE_expression data have different values for the same gene in the same cell line?

Hi,

CCLE_expression is downstream of CCLE_RNAseq_reads, so changes in reads will lead to changes in the main expression matrix. There changes could be results of various things including pipeline updates, including changes in reference and STAR/RSEM indices, or resequencing of the same cell line.
