I want to know the usage of ‘Export from mutation table’ under custom downloads tab? Like, how is it different than mutations dataset downloaded under ‘Export from datasets’ under custom downloads tab?
I don’t believe there’s a single mutations dataset under “Export from datasets” but instead these two datasets:
In the DepMap portal, a “Dataset” is a matrix of values where the rows are cell lines and columns are some features. So, for use in data explorer, we’ve reformated the mutations data into two binary matrices. However, that means lots of mutations aren’t represented in either of these two matrices, as well as all of the functional annotations aren’t going to be visible if you export the dataset.
However, if you use the “Export from mutation table”, it’s pulling data from the full table of mutations and instead of a matrix, you a filtered table of mutations (which will include all mutations an their annotations).
