Hello. I am cross-checking cancer types from DepMap with other resources, and I noticed some discrepancies in the latest release that I wanted to share with you. I have included additional references where I have found them.
- HT-55. DepMap: Colon Adenocarcinoma. Cellosaurus: Rectal Adenocarcinoma. (PubMed=194617)
- DBTRG-05. DepMap: Glioblastoma. Cellosaurus: Astrocytoma.
- LNZ308. DepMap: Glioblastoma. Cellosaurus: Astrocytoma.
- TASK1. DepMap: Primitive neuroectodermal tumor. Cellosaurus: Askin tumor (Ewing sarcoma).
- YD-38. DepMap: Head and Neck Squamous Cell. Cellosaurus: Squamous cell carcinoma of the oral cavity.
- T3M-5. DepMap: Head and Neck. Cellosaurus: Thyroid carcinoma.
- SW579. DepMap: Head and Neck. Cellosaurus: Thyroid carcinoma.
- SBC-5. DepMap: SCLC. Cellosaurus: SMARCA4-deficient undifferentiated tumor. (PubMed=38180245)
- BV-173. DepMap: B-ALL. Cellosaurus: CML, BCR-ABL1 positive.
- S-117. DepMap: Soft tissue sarcoma. Cellosaurus: Thyroid gland sarcoma.
I hope this list is helpful. I believe that the Cellosaurus classifications are more accurate for many of these cell lines. Please let me know if there are cell lines above that you believe are more accurately classified by DepMap.
Best,
Brian
