I was wondering how the median distance value is calculated in the Celligner “Rank models for selected tumors” page. For example, if I select “Breast” lineage and “All” subtype, is the median distance displayed for each model calculated as the median distance between each model and all Breast TCGA+ tumors, Breast TCGA+Tumors and Met500 tumors or all breast samples (models and tumors combined)? Or since it’s a ranking, are the values scaled?
After downloading the distances.csv file from the depmap portal I tried computing the median distance using those 3 groups and I’m getting different values compared to the portal.
