# Clarifications in Gene Expression Level csv file

Hi! I just have a question concerning the data in this csv file. I’m trying to calculate the bimodality of each gene but there are some zeros in the entries of the file and I wanted clarity on what they actually mean in terms of the Expression levels. The name of the file is called OmicsExpressionProteinCodingGenesTPMLogp1.csv

Hi,

The values in OmicsExpressionProteinCodingGenesTPMLogp1 are log\_2(TPM-normalized expression values + 1). Therefore, zeros suggest that the gene is not expressed.
