# Are the quarterly releases updates or cumulative?

Maybe this should be obvious to me. The [downloadable files](https://depmap.org/portal/download/) are updated quarterly. Does the most recent release include all of the best available knockout results across all cell lines and genes? Or, are they updates to the full body of data, and so I would want results in past quarterly releases as well?

The quarterly release datasets are cumulative. If you are looking at the most recent release dataset, you are looking at the most recent and most accurate cumulative data available for the full body of DepMap data.
